Blue Valley Caps Invites Cortés to Lead Workshop Nov. 17th

The CAPS program of the Blue Valley school district in Overland Park, Kansas, has asked Julie Cortés to lead a workshop on portfolio development and LinkedIn profiles, and to discuss what a creative career might look like in the future for students who want to go into design and photography.

The CAPS (Center for Advanced Professional Studies) program represents the collaboration of education, business and community, providing students with a unique, immersive experience, resulting in highly skilled, adaptable, global innovators and leaders.

In the Digital Design & Photography strand (in which Julie will be speaking), students develop communication, project management and the professional skills necessary to succeed in today’s creative business environment. They build professional portfolios, LinkedIn profiles, résumés and cover letters to be used for college applications, internships, and for employment.
